Third Grade
Your third graders will have the opportunity to meet ALL of the grade level's California State P.E. Standards through the F.U.E.L. program, including these "key" standards:

Chase, flee and move away from others in a constantly changing environment (1.1)

Perform inverted balances, forward rolls and straddle rolls (1.2, 1.3, 1.4)

Perform a line, circle and folk dance with a partner (1.15)

Demonstrates manipulative skills of throwing, catching, kicking, striking and dribbling with self or a partner (1.6, 1.7, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12, 1.13, 1.14)

Identify the key elements for increasing accuracy in rolling a ball and throwing a ball (2.4)

Demonstrates warm-up and cool-down exercises (3.1)

Participates 3-4 days a week, for increasing periods of time, in continuous moderate to vigorous physical activities that require sustained movement of the large muscle groups to increae breathing and heart rate (3.3, 3.7)

Measure and record improvement in individual fitness acitivities ( 3.8)

List and define the components of physical fitness (4.2)

Describe the aerobic capacity and record changes in heart rate before, during and after physical activity (4.7, 4.8)
