Fifth Grade
Your fifth graders will have the opportunity to meet ALL of the grade level's California State P.E. Standards through the F.U.E.L. program, including these "key" standards:

Jump for height and distance, using proper form ( 1.2, 1.3)

Designs and preforms a creative dance with changes in speed and direction (1.18) Performs a variety of manipulative skills with attention to form, power, accuracy and follow-through ( 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9, 1.10, 1.11, 1.12, 1.13, 1.14, 1.15, 1.16, 1.17)

Identify the following phases for striking a ball: preparation, application of force, follow-through and recovery (2.4)

Design a routine to music, changing speed and direction while manipulating an object ( 1.19, 2.5)

Performan increasing numbers of tricep push-ups and oblique curl-ups (3.4, 3.5)

Assess health related physical fitness (3.8)

Meet age and gender specific fitness standards for aerobic capacity, muscular strength, flexibility and body composition (3.9)

Record and analyze food consumption for one day and make a plan to replace foods with healthier choices and adjust quantities to enhance performance in physical activity (4.1)
